So Begins Our Odyssey

Last friday I was able to catch Of Montreal's show up at the Metro. Filler:
via wikipedia:
Of Montreal were among the second wave of groups to emerge from the Elephant Six Collective. Created by Kevin Barnes after a failed romance with a woman from Montreal, the group is typical of many Elephant Six bands due to its interests in combining musical experimentation and the basic tenets of pop (ie. catchy melodies and sing along choruses). The band's style has been influenced by not only more conventional indie pop and neo-psychedelia, but also by vaudeville and music hall on their earlier releases. Surprisingly, their latest albums are now majorly influenced by electronica.
Anyways, the show was good. The crowd was into it, and the band seemed really glad to be performing. I'm not in the habit of reviewing stuff, /im too lazy, so here's some mp3s:
